Is Classical Math Games a subscription, and what happens after October 17?
No, the Founding Scholar pass isn't a subscription. It's $9.97 once, for every child in the house, for as long as we operate the site. It closes to new families on Saturday, Oct 17 at 11:59 PM MT. After that, new families can get the School Pass, which is also a single payment: $97 for 10 years. Below are plain answers to the questions families ask most.
Is the Founding Scholar pass a subscription?
No. You pay $9.97 one time. Nothing renews, and you have nothing to cancel.
What does "lifetime" mean?
It means that for as long as we operate the site, Founding Scholars keep access to the paid Arena activities available now and to new ones added to the same library later. It isn't a promise that every future idea will ship, and I won't pretend it means more than that. It's a single payment that keeps working while the site runs.
Does one pass cover all my kids?
Yes. One pass covers every child in your household on one household login, with no per-child fees.
When exactly does the $9.97 price end?
Saturday, Oct 17 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. That's 10:59 PM Pacific, 1:59 AM Eastern on Sunday, Oct 18, and 05:59 UTC on Oct 18. If you're near the line, go by Mountain Time.
Will the deadline be extended?
No. The deadline is real. At 11:59 PM MT the $9.97 option comes off the site for new families.
Will $9.97 come back later?
No. It's a founding price, a thank-you to the first families who trusted something new. It won't return for a holiday sale or a relaunch.
What can new families buy after Oct 17?
The School Pass: $97 once for 10 years of access, with one household login for every child in the house. "School" here means your homeschool or your household, not a building. For a child in elementary school, 10 years runs a long way. The same 30-day Sitting Guarantee applies.
I already bought Founding Scholar. Do I need to do anything?
No. Nothing changes for you on Oct 18. Your access stays as it is, new activities included. You won't be moved to a new plan, and you won't be asked to pay again.
Can I buy now and start later?
Yes. Founding Scholar access doesn't run on a clock. One thing to know: the 30-day Sitting Guarantee counts from your purchase date, so if you want to use the guarantee, start using the Arena within those 30 days.
What if it isn't right for us?
Email feedback@classicalmath.games within 30 days of purchase and you'll get a full refund. That covers the $9.97 Founding Scholar pass too. There's no form and there are no hoops.
Is it a curriculum?
No. It's practice for families already using Singapore Math, Dimensions Math, or a classical approach: number bonds, bar models, place value, fraction sense, math facts with Strategy Mode, geometry and pattern, and classical games like Tower of Hanoi and Wythoff's Game. Classical Math Games is independent and isn't affiliated with the publishers of those programs.
Is there anything free?
Yes. Flash Cards (with Strategy Mode), Euclid's Game, and Match & Sort Together are free for every family, and Flash Cards don't need an account.
Does it have points, streaks, or ads?
No points, no streaks, no leaderboards, and no flashing rewards. The Arena is built for short, calm sessions. Five minutes counts as a good session.
Who runs it?
I do. I'm Ryan: a dad of three Singapore Math kids, a former fire captain, and a paramedic for more than 20 years. I started building Classical Math Games late last year with flash cards for my son before his final tests.
