Which Has More? — beside Dimensions Math KA Chapter 6
Chapter 6 asks children to compare quantities within 10 by looking at two groups — same, more, fewer — before formal addition. This sitting keeps the pictures first. Numerals may appear only after the answer, quietly.

This is not addition, not a race, and not a numeral shortcut. Groups stay at 10 or below. It is not an official Singapore Math product.

How it works
- Choose within 5 or within 10, then more, fewer, same, or mixed.
- Two groups appear in countable arrangements. The child taps the group, or Same.
- Early rounds are easy to see. Later rounds sit closer together.
- A miss is quiet. Stop whenever you like.
The mathematical idea
Comparison is matching and counting, not “the bigger numeral wins.” Two groups, one attribute — how many — and a word: more, fewer, or the same.
Why it helps
The book wants the child to look. This sitting gives more of those looks, in the same language, without turning the work into addition.
